GoalOn Machinery has completed the shipment of one 4-row light steel keel roll forming machine for an overseas customer. This machine is designed for efficient production of multiple drywall framing profiles. It includes four independent roller sets (the “4 rows”), so the customer can produce different profiles with stable quality and practical operation.
With this solution, the customer can cover common light gauge steel framing needs using one integrated line:
- 2 different sizes of hat channel
- 1 stud
- 1 track
What “4-Row” Means on This Roll Forming Machine
In this project, “4-row” does not mean the profile has four ribs. It means the machine has four separate forming stations/lanes, each with its own independent roller tooling set.
That design brings real advantages:
- Less tooling adjustment during production
- Faster switching between profiles
- Stable forming because each profile uses dedicated rollers
- Easier daily operation for the production team
For customers with mixed orders and multiple SKUs, a 4-row design helps improve output planning and reduces downtime.
Customer Requirements Confirmed Before Production
At the start of the project, our engineering team confirmed each profile drawing and production target. For light steel keel and drywall framing products, accuracy is critical. So we aligned with the customer on key points:
- Profile drawings for hat channel, stud, and track
- Material thickness range and coil width for each profile
- Edge, lip, and radius requirements
- Length tolerance and cutting method
- Line speed and motor power requirements
- Power supply, PLC language, and safety standards
After confirmation, we arranged manufacturing and kept the customer updated with progress photos and testing plans.
Workshop Testing for All 4 Profiles
Before shipment, GoalOn Machinery performed full testing in our factory. We focus on the points that affect installation and on-site assembly, such as straightness, profile consistency, and cutting accuracy.
During testing, we checked:
- Forming stability for each roller set
- Final profile dimensions against drawings
- Surface protection and roll marks control
- Cutting action and length repeatability
- Control system operation and safety devices
We also prepared testing videos and inspection records for customer review. This helps acceptance move faster and reduces installation risk.
Export Packing and Container Loading
To ensure safe overseas delivery, the machine was packed to export standards:
- Anti-rust protection on rollers, shafts, and key parts
- Film wrapping and foam protection for sensitive areas
- Electrical cabinet moisture-proof protection
- Spare parts labeled and packed separately
- Machine fixed firmly for container shipment
Our team handled container loading with proper balance and strong fixing, so the line arrives in good condition and is ready for installation.
